Last Monday I said the Jupiler Pro League was becoming a two-horse race but Thorgan Hazard obviously didn’t read my thoughts. Playing for Zulte Waregem against Anderlecht, he scored one and had three assists – his best game by far in the JPL. The game was a great spectacle, enlivened by 45 minutes from Anderlecht’s new striker Aleksandar Mitrovic (with two assists); he’s just 18 and is certainly one to watch. Elsewhere, Standard continued their 100% record and there were wins for Club Brugge, Lokeren and Gent. Finally, abroad, there were top performances (again) from Thibaut Courtois and Simon Mignolet.

JPL Top six: Standard Liege 18 points, Club Brugge 14, Zulte Waregem 14, Lokeren 13, Anderlecht 12, Gent 11.

JPL Leading scorers: Bruno and M. Suarez (Anderlecht), Santini (Kortrijk) all 5; Mujangi Bia (Standard), Thorgan Hazard (Zulte), Pollet (Charleroi), Harbaoui (Lokeren) all 4.
