Milan Jovanovic – has offered to help Michel Preud’homme at Club Brugge

This Monday Mash is dedicated to three Club Brugge men who could be decisive: new coach Michel Preud’homme, captain Timmy Simons and young winger Maxime Lestienne. Preud’homme’s arrival will give a massive lift to both club and league (see my thoughts from 11/2010, Simons is a real leader and has been my touchstone since the blog started in 2010 (see my first post while Lestienne could be on his way to Rio (assuming qualification). On Sunday, Club Brugge humiliated Anderlecht while there were wins for Zulte Waregem and Standard, who have eight wins from eight.

JPL Top six: Standard Liege 24 points, Club Brugge 20, Zulte Waregem 17, Lokeren 16, Anderlecht 15, Genk 14.

JPL Leading scorers: Batshuayi (Standard), M. Suarez (Anderlecht), Santini (Kortrijk), Harbaoui (Lokeren) all 6; Thorgan Hazard (Zulte), Bruno (Anderlecht) both 5.

Main results: Club Brugge 4 Anderlecht 0, Standard 2 Lokeren 1, Zulte Waregem 4 Leuven 2, KV Mechelen 4 Mons 2.
