Sunday night saw Anderlecht slipping up at home to Club Brugge and Ghent taking three points at Cercle Brugge. This meant that Genk have a two point lead over Anderlecht and Ghent, with the Buffalos just edging out Les Mauves on matches won.
Anderlecht missed Boussoufa and Biglia and that must be a concern for the future. With Standard Liege losing – without Defour – the league looks more open than it has for a few weeks. Ghent coach Francky Drury is doing a great job in replacing Preud’homme, despite poor results in Europe.
Leaders: Genk 30, Anderlecht and Ghent 28, KV Mechelen 25, Standard Liege 24.
