  • Most points gained by winner of the ‘Golden Boot’: 509, Michel Preud’homme (KV Mechelen, 1987)
  • Youngest ever winner: Paul Van Himst (Anderlecht, 1960) aged 17 years & 3 months.
  • Player winning from 2nd division: Gilles De Bilde (Eendracht Aalst, 1994) – club promoted in May.
  • Winner with the biggest feet: Jan Koller (Anderlecht, 2000) – size 50.
  • Club with the most winners of the award: Anderlecht (14 players – 19 awards), followed by Club Brugge (8, 10) and Standard Liege (8,9).
  • Oldest player to win: Lorenzo Staelens (Anderlecht, 1999) – aged 35 & 8 months.
  • Anderlecht players who won after joining the Brussels club in mid-season: Philippe Albert (from KV Mechelen, 1992), Par Zetterberg (from Charleroi, 1993) and Mbark Boussoufa (from Ghent, 2006).
