Zulte Waregem – won after internal strife caused by Thorgan Hazard’s appointment (and resignation) as captain.
Standard Liege’s 3-0 demolition of Lierse was coach Guy Luzon’s fifth straight win. His appointment was heavily criticised but he’s proving everyone wrong. Ex Wolves winger Geoffrey Mujangi-Bia – Pele Mboyo’s cousin – scored all three goals for Les Rouches. Racing Genk and Anderlecht both scored four goals with Fabien Camus and Massimo Bruno, respectively, prominent. Zulte Waregem, captained by Davy De fauw, won playing badly, while Club Brugge won at Oostende with Romelu Lukaku’s cousin, Boli Bolingoli Mbombo, scoring the winner. In the second division, Royal Antwerp won in front of 11,000 fans – a massive crowd for that league.
